This week’s KSVP radio interview with Mike Smith addresses:

• Mike Smith and Paul discuss the Legislature’s votes on raising the minimum wage and why this is bad policy (and not great politics).
• The Legislature also voted to raise taxes. Even President Obama opposed raising taxes in a recession which New Mexico remains mired in.
• Despite all of the negative policies coming out of Santa Fe, the Legislature did move a good bill on dental therapy forward.
• Lastly, New Mexicans are more aware than most that oil and gas is integral to the State economy. Specifically, production and investment in the Permian Basin are growing.
